- Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise & Health Science (ACU)
- Diploma in Fitness (TAFE) Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment (UTS)
Narelle’s Bio:
Narelle is a fully registered Pilates teacher comprehensively trained in 2007 by the Australian Pilates Method Association (APMA). This 18 month training enabled her to work in private Pilates studios managing complex injuries and teach on all the traditional Pilates equipment. Her Exercise and health Science degree elevated her knowledge of the human body gaining even more confidence to work with complex client issues.
Having worked in some of Sydney’s best private Pilates studios she has diverse experience with the Pilates equipment including the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Spine Corrector and Ladder Barrel. She has also worked for the EY Wellness Centre, high profile gyms teaching group reformer and attends housecalls to the less mobile clients.
Interests:
She has a nurturing and confident approach to issues and injuries within the body and strongly believes Pilates is for everybody. She loves interacting with people and not only shares her Pilates and health knowledge but she loves to educate clients about their body – empowering them to achieve a higher level of wellbeing . She loves connecting people and networking within the Pilates community.
Something fun:
On a personal level, prior to her Pilates & fitness career she worked in the corporate world with the Commonwealth Bank in HR, Community & Media Relations, PR & CBA TV.
Narelle is a Surry Hills girl, born & bred, with strong historical connections to the areas colorful past – Kate Leigh is her Great Aunt. She has 2 adult children and when she is not teaching Pilates you will find her walking her dogs in Centennial Park, weight training, napping or eating at one of her favourite Surry Hills restaurants.
