Joden’s Bio:
I am a physiotherapist who has completed his Masters degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney and Bachelors of Exercise Science with Distinction at the University of Wollongong. Throughout my undergraduate degree I worked with the St George Illawarra Dragons as the assistant strength and conditioning coach for the NSW Cup team gaining invaluable experience in both long term programming and grasping the demands placed on elite athletes. This had led to me currently completing a physiotherapy internship with the South Sydney Rabbitoh’s pathways program where I am continuing to gain knowledge on treating elite athletes in the rehab space to implement in the clinic. I also completed a year as a community physiotherapy assistant in Wollongong aiding with the implementation of sessions for a broad variety of complex conditions. Overall, I am passionate about helping people becoming the best version of themselves and thoroughly enjoy playing a role in this. Whether it be through injury management or strength and conditioning work I love watching people achieve their goals.
Interests:
I have always been active individual playing rugby league, competitively swimming and running since a young age. Unfortunately I’ve sustained more than my fair share of injuries secondary to this (2 shoulder reconstructions, multiple concussions, a stress fracture and a calf tear to name a few..). This has led to me being passionate about the role of strength and conditioning in injury prevention specifically for running and field sports based on my experience on both sides of treatment.
Something fun:
If I’m not working; I’ll be outside either be at the beach, out marathon training or at a café buying an unnecessary fourth coffee for the day.
