Joden’s Bio:
I’m a physiotherapist with a Masters in Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney and a background in Exercise Science with (Distinction) from the University of Wollongong. More importantly, I specialise in helping active people and athletes return to sport better, not just pain-free.
My approach blends physiotherapy and strength & conditioning, giving you a clear, structured pathway from injury → rehab → performance.
I currently head up the South Sydney Rabbitohs pathways long-term rehab program, managing athletes through post-surgical rehabilitation, return to running, and field-based performance progressions (think ACL, shoulder surgical repairs, syndesmosis injuries). This experience allows me to bring elite-level rehab principles into everyday practice—whether you’re dealing with a knee injury, returning to running, or trying to stay injury-free.
Earlier in my career, I worked with the St George Illawarra Dragons (NSW Cup) as an assistant strength & conditioning coach, where I developed a strong understanding of long-term programming and the physical demands of high-level sport.
Special Interests:
– Knee rehabilitation (ACL, meniscus, post-op and non-operative)
– Running-related injuries & return to run programs (e.g bone stress, tendon pain or soft tissue injuries)
– Lower back pain
– Strength & conditioning for injury prevention and performance
– Bridging the gap between rehab and return to sport
Why I Do This
I’ve been on both sides of injury. I have played rugby league my whole life and remain an avid runner. After multiple injuries myself—including two shoulder reconstructions, two stress fractures, a calf tear and multiple concussions—I understand how frustrating rehab can be when there’s no clear plan. That’s what drives me to deliver structured, criteria-based rehab that actually gets you back to what you love doing.
Something fun:
You’ll usually find me at the beach, out running, or at a cafe having one more coffee than I probably should.
